The John Bethune Testimonial Fishing Comp and Social.
Walkers Beach on the
Hawkesbury River on the 19th August.
Only a while ago John Bethune has been diagnosed
with cancer and is due to undergo surgery later in
the year. A large group of people wanted to know
how they could help given that there is no greater
ambassador for Bass fishing in this country than
John.
Nicknamed Mr. Bass, John didn't want all the fuss
but that was not to be. As an expression of support
for John a Testimonial Bass fishing competition and
social day has been organised.
For a entry fee of $100.00 per angler a fishing
comp and BBQ is included.
All monies raised to go to John for
his on going treatment and support.
So pen in the date, time and register for the event.
The competition will be a one day individual event
with each angler returning live their two (2) largest
bass live.The combined weigh will be added for a
total weight.

Start time:
Fishing starts at 9:00am at Walkers Beach resort. The event is being
run under the aspics of STC.
Finish Time:
All Anglers shall check in at 3:00pm at the beach.
Briefing Location & Time:
Briefing at the start beach at 8:30am.

The BBQ will commence at around 6:00pm.
There will be a number of guest speakers in attendance
including Scotty Lyons, Col Buckley and Dean Hayes
during the evening, plus a auction table with a auction
to be held. More information as it comes to hand.
For all those people who would like to attend the
BBQ but for whatever reason can't be in the comp
there is a small charge.
